Auditions

Please check back for information on auditioning for the Utah Symphony Chorus.

Under the direction of Chorus Master Susanne Sheston, the singers of the Utah Symphony Chorus perform the Masterworks of the choral repertoire with the acclaimed Utah Symphony, under the baton of Music Director Keith Lockhart and renowned guest conductors.

Applicants should have some background as a choral or solo singer, and should be able to read music. For the audition, applicants will be asked to sing "My Country Tis of Thee," vocalize, and perform a brief sight-singing exam. Interested singers should call 888-901-SING (7464) to schedule an audition. A limited number of paid section leader positions are available as well (an honorarium is paid per concert period). For these positions, singers should prepare a memorized solo piece in addition to the requirements listed above.

The 2009-10 concert season will include Handel's Messiah, Haydn's The Creation, and Verdi's Messa da requiem.
